Cedric DuPruis (Dupe) is from Cleveland, Ohio where his parents own and operate a series of restaurants and food trucks. He attended Meadfort University where he double-majored in English and History. Dupe then went on to earn his MA of Public Administration at MU while working as a Program Coordinator for the United Teen Equity Center (UTEC) in Boston, MA. UTEC is a nationally recognized non-profit focused on helping inner-city at-risk teens through a series of coordinated anti-gang, arts, and community organizing programs.
Dupe lives in Washington, DC and works for UTEC’s DC office as a program manager. He will be attending Howard University’s part-time MBA program. Though he plans to stay and build a career at UTEC, his parents have dropped subtle hints over the years that they would love for him to come home and help expand the family business.
