Kenyatta Johnstone (Kenya) is from Cleveland, OH, but moved to West Baltimore, MD when she was in high school. She attended Meadfort University where she double-majored in Drama and American Studies with an emphasis on Comparative Race and Ethnicity. Kenya also minored in film studies. Kenya represents Maryland as a Gill Scholar.
Cedric DuPruis (Dupe) is from Cleveland, Ohio where his parents own and operate a series of restaurants and food trucks. He attended Meadfort University where he double-majored in English and History. Dupe then went on to earn his MA of Public Administration at MU while working as a Program Coordinator for the United Teen Equity Center (UTEC) in Boston, MA. UTEC is a nationally recognized non-profit focused on helping inner-city at-risk teens through a series of coordinated anti-gang, arts, and community organizing programs.

Planning out Burning Dim has been challenging. I know exactly what I want to say and how I want things to flow. I have plot outlines, character profiles, and an idea of how most of the dialogue should go. However, the problem I’m having is that I have too much information in many places. I saved the bulk of my Word docs and Excel files on a flash drive and backed up on a memory card and Dropbox, but I have a lot of notes in my Moleskin and hundreds of memos on my phone.
LeTycia-Marie Wallace (Leti) is from Atlanta, Georgia. She attended North Carolina A&T University where she double-majored in political science and secondary education. She also minored in business management. In addition to other honors and accolades, Leti was also selected to represent Georgia as Gill Scholar. After college, she moved back to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University where she earned her MA of Teaching.
